Where did the time go?

Ok, so it's almost been a year since I've posted anything. I DID finally get my condo. Yay!! I've been living here since October and loving it. Still haven't finished decorating, but that will come in time. Colden turned 6 last month and is still enjoying kindergarten. I'm so proud of how well he is doing!! Ok, just wanted to touch base.... more later :)

The Countdown!!

One month from today my escrow should close. I am so excited and scared at the same time. I am constantly decorating it in my mind. I'm scared that things might not go through and I'll have to start my search all over again. ugh.

OUCH!!!

Today I took Colden to the doctor for his kindergarten check-up and shots. He has 20/20 vision, perfect hearing, great blood pressure, and right on track with his height and weight. Then the needles came out. I didn't know he could scream so loud!! This is the first time he's ever freaked out about getting shots. And he had to get alot of them - I think it was 4. Poor baby! But 2 suckers and one root beer later, he forgave me :)
It sucks to grow up!

House Hunting

Ok, so I'm looking for a place to buy. I got pre-qualified for a loan so I know how much I can afford. The bad thing.... when I find something in my price range, it ends up being in the ghetto. Who knew that Aliso Viejo had a ghetto??? And if I find something in a nice area that I like, the price is about double what I can afford. I even found a very nice mobile home that I have no problem living in, but it's in a senior only park. ugh!!
So, I'll just keep living with my parents and saving lots of money. Oh, and buying lotto tickets :) Nothing crazy, just $1.00 at a time - that's all it takes!!

I'm back! Did you miss me??

It's been a really, really long time since I've posted anything - thanks to FaceBook.... that dang thing is just so addicting and so easy to post stuff! I'm making it a goal to write on here at least once a week and then go from there.

As you all know, I'm going through a divorce and it's going really smooth. At first I was just thinking it was the calm before the storm, but I don't think the storm is going to hit. It's been 3 months and all is still good. Hopefully I didn't just jinx it.

Colden is starting Kindergarten in September - I can't believe it! He's so excited to go to his "big school". I think I'll cry like a baby when I drop him off that first time. He'll be running away from me yelling "BYE!" There certainly won't be any separation anxiety on his side. His preschool graduation is on June 12th. I'll cry then too. I better stock up on tissue, it's going to be a rough few months :)

5 Years Ago

Today is Colden's 5th birthday. Amazing! Where did that five years go? Where is the little guy that used to think I was the funniest person in the world just by crossing my eyes or making rude noises? Now I've got this little man that says "Mommy, that wasn't very funny". Haha!! He is such a joy and always makes me laugh by funny things that he says. We had a busy day, and he got some really cool gifts. Now he's sleeping and I'm exhausted.Happy birthday Colden!!
